Description: (2) Fairmount double-ended open wrenchesBoth wrenches were manufactured by the Fairmount Tool and Forging Company in Cleveland, OH Both have a forge mark of 'FAIRMOUNT CLEVE' on one side of the shankThe larger wrench also has 'DROP FORGED' forged on the other side of the shankThe larger wrench is a 9/16" x 5/8" double-ended open wrenchIt weighs about 5 1/2 ounces, and is about 6 inches longThe smaller wrench is a 7/16" x 1/2" double-ended open wrenchIt weighs a little less than 3 ounces and is a little less than 5 1/2 inches longI physically measured with a ruler to get the jaw sizes, because they are no size markings on either wrenchThere are no trademarks or logos, besides those mentioned above, on either wrench, and I have no age information Condition: Both wrenches function as designedBoth wrenches have terrific old-tool patinaThe finish on both has some (minor) rust and scratches (see pictures), but no pittingJaws on both wrenches at each end are well defined and flat, as expectedCould stand to be cleaned if you intend to useUsually I leave tools as found, and let buyer clean clean/not clean as they wish;But I did have to clean the shank slightly on the smaller wrench so forge marks would be visible in the pictures As usual. see pictures for best sense of condition These wrenches would make a terrific addition to any vintage-tool collection.
