Description: Vintage Eugene Signed Clip-On Earrings Pink Flower Crystal & Pearl. Excellent condition without damage. Both earrings signed Eugene on back. Pink flower with 7 pink pearls (I assume faux pearls), 7 pink crystals, and a center pink faceted sparkle acrylic bead. Gold tone metal filigree on back along with gold tone clip. 1" in diameter. Eugene jewelry was founded by Eugene (Gene) Schultz in 1952 in New York City and was in operation until 1962. Schultz was born in 1911 in Charlotte, North Carolina. He worked as a costumer for Broadway shows in his late 20s until his early 30s. In his late 30s he worked for Cartier hand painting Christmas cards. In 1952 he started his jewelry company with a showroom on Madison Avenue in New York City. All of his pieces were his own designs and handmade by his company. Schultz died on Thanksgiving Day in 1964, 2 years after his company had gone out of business.
