Description: This vintage bulldog figurine appears to be made of cast stone of some kind. It is not resin, and it is not made of alabaster as are other replicas that I have seen. The original was sculpted by Arnaldo Gianelli. I do not see any signature on this reproduction. The casting has some small bubbles and pinpoint size pits. The figurine is a natural grayish stone or concrete color which has a few air brush painted brown patches and a darker gray face. The nose and eyes are painted black.The dog is anatomically male. It is in a crouching position. There is a date on the underside that appears to be early 1980s, and a location of Hershey, PA, but I can not read the markings on the underside because of fading of the letters.
