Description: Vintage Electrex Jr. X228 Travel Iron, United Drug Co, 1926 Vintage Electrex Jr. X228 travel clothes iron, made by United Drug Co in 1926. Compact and small in size it was a convenient item to carry along on travel. It measures 5 1/2 inches long by 2 3/4 inches wide at widest point and stands 4 inches high. The United Drug Co was founded in 1903 in Boston and moved to St. Louis, Missouri in 1920. It became the Rexall Drug Co. It made over 2,300 different products over the years from appliances such as irons and fans to drugs, cosmetics and candles. Original box , includes cord, several areas of rust that can probably be cleaned and restored. (See photos)
