Description: Vintage Edward Green Braemar Wingtip Oxfords Mens Dress Shoes, 11/11.5 D US. [See Note on Sizing Below] As you may well know, many consider Edward Green to represent the pinnacle of English shoe-making. Some consider them the best shoes in the world, proper works of craftsmanship. We have here a pair of beautiful, vintage "Braemar" shoes, in very good, used condition. Edward Green made the "Braemar" Oxford in the 1990s, and sometime around 30 years ago produced them for Ralph Lauren for sale in the US market (as you can see in the images, this pair bears the logo for Ralph Lauren). SIZING: I have 4 other pairs of Edward Greens, and they are as good as everyone says. I am only selling this pair because they frankly do not fit me well--they are so beautiful that it breaks my heart to admit this fact, but life is cruel... They are marked as 11.5 US, and I reliably take an 11.5 D. But the Braemar seems to have been made on a small last, for I find that the shoe is too tight on me. So I think it should be considered an 11 D. As you can see in the photos, the shoe is 12 1/4" long, and 4" across at its widest point. I suggest that you compare these dimensions to a pair of shoes that you already have to determine if they will fit you. I am offering the shoes at a very low price to make everything simple, and get these shoes to a good home (Edward Greens routinely sell for 1,500.00 USD). Because I am letting them go for less than they are worth in the name of just getting it done, I am NOT DOING REFUNDS. This is your chance to get some of the best shoes in the world for next to nothing, so just CHECK YOUR SIZE first by measuring a pair of shoes that fit you. Beyond slight creasing on the vamps and at most moderate wear to soles, I can find nothing wrong with these shoes. As I say, I only wish they fit me.
