Ingraham Mechanical 8 Day Spring Wound Black Mantle Clock. Called "The Wizard" Circa 1885 As Stated on The Partial Papers Still Attached To The Back Plate. The Clock Was Literally Found In A Barn In The State Of Maine CoveredWith Dust And In A Very Sad State.I Should Have Taken Photo's Of It Before But Was So Excited To Restore This Rescued Clock I Forgot Too.It Really Brings Me Great Satisfaction to Rescue And Restore Clocks ThatHave Been Neglected For So Long And Probably Would Never See The Light Of Day AgainAnd To Hear The Heart Of The Clock (The Tick Tock) Again After So Many Years Of Silence.Like Rescuing A Neglected And Abused Pet.The Clock Strikes A Gong Once On The Half Hour And At The Top Of The Hour The Appropriate Number Of Times.First We Cleaned And Oiled The Original E. Ingraham Brass Movement And Springs And It Is Running Great. We Then Restored The Case As Best We Could And Added Some AdditionalHardware And We Think You Will Agree This Little Beauty Is Ready To Be Adopted. On The Top Left Rear Corner Is A Small Piece That Was Broken Off (Please See Photo) "The Wizard" May Have Had a Scuffle With Another WizardAnd Lost a Little Piece . . .
