The rectangular Platform measures 5" x 3 1/4". They could function as Bookends, but won't hold heavy books upright. These donkeys are delightful vintage pieces shiny gold painted burrows. The paint shows wear in some areas, but I believe they were created this way. They add interest and texture to any decor. I see no cracks or chips on this pair. Pre-owned and in very good condition.
