Description: Vintage Color Foil Etched Print of Old World Map - 6" x 8" In Size. I personally sold thousands of these prints back in the 70's. I went cross county and did state fairs, flea markets and street fairs. I called these Aluminum Silk Screen Prints.From what I knew the original process was developed by Lionel Barrymore (the actor).I sold these with matting and sometimes with framing with glass.The photo does not do it justice as when turn in the light it looks to be 3D.The ones I have left for sale are just the prints without any matting.Penny's and Sears also sold these in their stores framed. There was a company called Metropolitan Art that sold these door to door. There were hundreds of varieties available and I have maybe 50 different varieties left.
