Description: Thrifting find. Single figural owl right-side bookend. Circa 1970s, I think, and unknown maker. He stands about 6.5" tall and is about 4" wide. Weighted with sand or pellets that you can hear if you shake him. Made of possibly ceramic or plaster, with a greenish-yellow felt base. Handpainted, with vivid blue-green face, and orange, gold and ochre feathers. He sits in the crook of a brown pinecone tree branch. There is a pinhead sized hole that looks like a bubble pop on the edge of the base at his tail, shown in the last picture. The little line coming off of it doesn't appear to be a crack, but rather a gray mark. There are minor paint imperfections as well, and stains on the underside of the felt base. Books shown for illustrative purposes only. Please take a look at the photos, and let me know if you have any questions. Shipped via USPS Ground Advantage. I pack with care and lots of bubble wrap.
