Description: VINTAGE CHRISTMAS TREE ORNAMENT FIGURAL TRUMPET HORN MUSIC INSTRUMENT, HOLIDAY Here we have a vintage Christmas holiday figural horn/trumpet tree ornament. This musical instrument is made with hand-painted, hand-blown glass and is a fine tree trimming decoration from the mid-1900s. As shown by the photos, the horn is painted silver with an orange (brass colored) splash on the front as well as on the bell of the horn. The 3 keys are painted red, orange (brass colored) and green. Painted slashes also appear the round tube leading to the bell. In very good condition. The original cap on the mouthpiece looks like it has been replaced with a larger cap. There is no identification on the cap that names the country, but this figural instrument is just like those made in Poland in the mid-1900s. Measures approximately 5" tall x 1.5" wide. Please see photos. A bit of history: My parents were married in 1948, and began collecting Christmas ornaments for their annual holiday tree. They expanded their collection each year. This horn was part of their collection and I believe it is from the 1950s to 1960s.
