Description: Featured here is a vintage Chinese Shiwan mudman playing the Guqin, a traditional Chinese instrument akin to a zither that has been played for around 3,000 years. This scholarly mudman is plucking away at the guqin in a teal robe and Hanfu style hat, possibly a yuanyou guan. What is unique about mudmen is that their skin isn’t glossy glazed like their clothing, which creates a nice contrast. In good condition, no chips. A little wayward clay on underside from manufacture. See pictures for closer detail. Measures 4” tall, 3.75” tall, and 2 5/8” deep. Weighs 5.4 oz prior to packaging.
