Description: A truly vintage chaplet. Circa 1950s. FLEUR-DI-LIS. FRANCE. This chaplet is almost certainly made in FRANCE. The chaplet is about 8.5" overall. The St. Anne medal is about 1". There are 18 beads total (3 groups of five beads and 3 pater beads). The beads are beautiful purple glass, round, multifaceted. The beads are about 4-5mm., and the 3 pater beads are a little larger, about 6mm. Each pater bead is capped, top and bottom. 100% of the caps are present. The medal, centerpiece and connective chain appear to be brass. The medal depicts St. Anne, holding her child, the Blessed Virgin Mary. Words encircle the edge of the medal: BONNE STE ANNE PRIEZ POUR NOUS. On reverse is a Fleus-di-lis and the words JESUS, MARIE and ANNE. The centerpiece depicts the Sacred Heart of Jesus on front. On reverse is the Blessed Virgin Mary, holding her child Jesus. You will receive the exact chaplet pictured. It is in excellent to very good vintage condition overall. The medal and centerpiece show excellent detail. There is only minimal age-related discoloration. Overall, the metal in the chaplet is in excellent to very good condition showing only minimal signs of use. All of the 18 beads are original, beautiful purple glass. All of the bead caps on the pater beads are also original. It looks as if the chaplet has never undergone repair or replacement of any sort.
