Vintage Cast Iron Dynamo Electric Motor 4-6 Volt

Description: This auction is for a vintage cast iron toy or model electric motor or dynamo. There are no maker's marks anywhere on it. There is a little metal plate riveted to the top of the motor that says, "6-4 Volt". There are two electric hookups on one of the support legs, and then two on the front of the motor. There are two oil cups, one each on the front and back of the motor, on top of the housing of what looks like the main axle. As noted above in condition, I have never run this motor so I cannot say if it works or not, nor do I know if it is missing any parts. It measures 3 1/8" across the underside of the piece, across the width of the two support legs. From the tip of the axle sticking out of the flywheel to the tip of the axle sticking out underneath the oil cup on the front it is just about 4" wide. You'll notice in the photo's above that I used the flash to try and show the condition of the insides of the motor. In the last picture I show this piece with some composition toy soldier engineers - the tallest one is about 3" tall. The engineers are not included in this auction, they are shown for size comparison only. I combine shipping on all purchases made and paid for at the same time (unless you're combining a book and toys as books use inexpensive media mail in the U.S. while toys can't). I use First Class (up to 16 oz) and Priority mail. Books ship media mail. I only charge actual postage - no added fees. I use lots of bubble wrap, peanuts, and good boxes. In a group of multiple pieces each item is wrapped individually. Original boxes or other original paper item go into a plastic bag in case you get delivery on a rainy day. International Shipping: I gladly ship international. Please note that there can be lengthy delays at Customs.
