Description: Absolutely gorgeous c. 1970 Framus Texan dreadnought. The classic “so cheesy it’s cool” German acoustic, in quite rare blonde finish. All laminates, but very nice book-matched flamey back. Rather heavy x-bracing on top. Back is arched. Just honest player wear, and rather light at that. A few scratches and dings here and there, but nothing major. Good neck joint, with none of the deflection sometimes seen at the soundhole on bolt-neck flat tops. Straight neck and good frets. IMO, a top-loading string-thru bridge is not the best way to get tone out of a dread, but this one still produces some decent volume and projection. No one will trade a Herringbone for one of these (lol!), but the heavy bracing and very cool mojo would make this is a nice stage axe with some electronics added. The unwound strings can wiggle a bit at the nut and zero fret under aggressive bending, which is why sometimes players opt to convert these to a standard nut. Puhleeze do such work professionally if you ever choose that option… Original softshell case is also in excellent condition. NOTE: USA regulations under the CITES convention (trade in endangered species) have finally been loosened to allow easy international shipping of vintage instruments, unless they contain BRAZILIAN r******d (Dahlbergia nigra). Unfortunately, I cannot say for sure the fretboard is not Brazilian, so it cannot be shipped internationally without a costly time-consuming permit process.UPDATE: Ebay now demands that we sellers give THIRTY DAYS for returns. Any honest buyer will know within a few days whether there is any need for a return. I no longer take returns through Ebay, but I will never "stick" another musician with a guitar. Please contact me if there any problems, and we'll work it out.
