Description: Up for bid is this Vintage Bronze on Marble Base Statue by Auguste Moreau of the Dream Goddess. There are multiple designs of this work and this is one of the most rare; cast in bronze, she stands with her arms extended upwards and holding a sphere, a cloth tied over her waist, billowing around her legs, a large hoop encircling her head, molded with triangles and beads forming a pattern, molded with the name Moreau. This statue has a wonderful patina and it is great condition. It stands just under 12" tall and is pretty heavy. Solid Marble base with felt bottom. Please see photos.
