Description: Vintage PYRENE Automobile Type brass 1 Pt., Fire Extinguisher. Manufactured by the Pyrene Manufacturing Company,Newark, New Jersey. Last patent is 1,688,195 (1928), "B 52" is stamped on the bottom. Extinguisher is EMPTY and in excellent condition. The label is a nickel (?) plated brass one as opposed to the more usual solid brass labels. It has been machine buffed, hand polished and clear coated. The extinguisher measures approx. 11½" tall by 2¾" in diameter. The pump handle does move in and out and is being sold as a collectible/display item only. Unless my items are listed as New or MIB (Mint In Box/Bag) they are used, so expect there to be some wear and signs of usage.
