Description: Vintage 1950's Post Korean War Reproduction of a Ma'Pae Horse Warrant Medal. This would have been made from the empty artillery shell casings after the war ended. The markings on the back indicate that it was from the Ming Dynasty, Tian Qi Period (1620-27) The markings indicate the fourth year, third month (April 1624). These counterfeits were very common after the war and were still used at that time. This one is for a THREE HORSE Medal and measures 3 1/2" diameter. It is heavy. Even though it is a reproduction, it is still a very nice piece of war memorabilia. Most of the items that I sell are antique or vintage as as such they do show signs of patina, use, and age. That only adds to the character that so many collectors desire. If there are any major issues or defects, I try to describe them to the best of my ability and as accurately as possible. In the event that I do miss something with words, I provide you with plenty of pictures to be included as part of the description. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. I am very responsive to messages and generally only take a few minutes to get back with you. I welcome International buyers and have no countries excluded from shipping to. As an International buyer, you are responsible for any customs, duties, or taxes that your country requires.
