Description: Here is a vintage porcelain plate crafted by B & G / Royal Copenhagen celebrating Christmas 1966. Featuring a glossy blue and white embossed design, this collector plate depicts sailing boats at night under the Christmas star. On the inside bottom rim the annual occasion is noted in subtle embossed letters, "Jule-Aften 1966". This is Danish for "Christmas Evening 1966". The plate has a 7 inch diameter with 1 inch high sides. It weighs 11.3 ounces. There are two holes on the back ring foot to thread a hanger for wall mounting. It was produced in Denmark. Condition is good except for 2 tiny rim chips, see last photo. They are hard to find and do not distract. There are no scratches, crazing or cracks. The backstamp in green reads "B&G Kjøbenhavn Denmark, Hiem til Jul". (Kjøbenhavn = Copenhagen, Hiem til Jul = Home for Christmas) Thanks for looking.
