Great to give as a gift or keep for yourself. According to my research: Banyanihan Ltd. Was founded in 1974 and based in Massachusetts by W. Thomas Burns as an outgrowth of his experience in the Peace Corps in the Philippines. “Banyanihan” means “working together”. For 25 years, Thomas Burns had worked with his Philippine friends to produce beautifully finished jewelry designs in gold and sterling. I did try to do more research on W. Thomas Burns and Banayanihan Jewelry Ltd. But it appears as if the business shut down and the website is defunct. If anyone has any further information, I would love to know more. Condition: I try not to disturb any vintage/preowned jewelry by cleaning and/or polishing it in order to keep it in its original patina leaving it to your discretion.
