Description: Very nice condition for its age with light patina on the frame. Screws and springs have some rust. Cover has some stains. This is a BARWA brand indoor/outdoor Chaise Lounge chair. This model chair was designed by Edgar Bartolucci and John Waldheim and introduced in 1947. “Barwa” is a combination of the designers last names - Edgar Bartolucci and John J. Waldheim. The chair is made of extruded aluminum tube frame that has a canvas sling slipcover. BARWA is synonymous with postwar American leisure. The bent aluminum frame allows for a two-position relaxation just by rocking it forward or back for feet-over-head reclining. At the time it was touted as the epitome of healthful relaxation according to the company’s advertising brochure. The approximate dimensions are listed below:60” L22” WBack 36” HFoot area 19”H Dip area 11.5”HThis one is in nice vintage preowned used condition. The cover has some stains but is structurally sound and all the grommets are in good condition. I have not attempted to clean the cover.
