Description: This is a vintage bamboo scroll painting. I say "vintage" because the age / appearance of the box, plus the collection where I found it, all suggest that it came from at least the 1970s or 1960s, possibly earlier. (Some light googling has led me to some listings on Etsy with similar paintings that are dated to the '60s, so take that for what it's worth.) I'm not 100% on the country of origin, but trying to run the characters on the box through online translation tools, I'm pretty sure it is Chinese. The scroll is fairly large. Per the box, it is 130 cm by 40 cm, or roughly 50" by 15". The backing is dark brown and it is bound with / hangs from a bright red ribbon. This painting depicts a valley between two mountain ranges, with a waterfall in the background, a small fleet of sailboats on a lake in the middle, and a tree with a path in the foreground. It is in excellent condition. Sturdy and free of any blemishes, tears, or damage.
