They were produced to fit a wide-mouth Ball Special pint, quart, or half-gallon mason canning jar. The insert/lid is in near mint condition. The zinc bands have scuff marks and signs of oxidation because they were stacked/stored in the original box for many years. Since the insert/lid may have been pried off, the underside of the lid may have a few rough areas. The lid and band shown in the above photos are examples of the lid and band you will receive.
