Description: This is a vintage bag of Family Treets Sunmark BOTTLECAPS Candy Packets This is extremely rareBecause the packets are stacked on top of each other and bunched together inside it is difficult to count how many are in there but I am confident there are at least 15 and I counted as many as 16, which is a strange number and there appear to be more in the center of the cluster so there could be as many as 20 insideFamily Treets would have been one of those convenience/country store/gas station brands where you can buy a lot of one type of popular candy in one bagIn this case this bag is filled with BottlecapsThe bag is sealed, new old stock and all the Bottlecaps are sealed inside and also new old stockResearch has shown this Bottlecaps packet design was actually the "Sample" packet which was designed to be used not for individual sale, but for bulk candy like this one -- making it rarerThis type of pack would also have been found in Halloween candy mixes of the timeThese Bottlecaps are from 1978 and are dated as suchThey are stamped Sunmark and this would have been before Sunmark created Willy Wonka Brands and rebranded Bottlecaps under that brandEventually Sunmark sold Wonka, including Bottlecaps to Nestle and today it is owned by Ferrero GroupThese have been stored properly over the years although obviously they're long expired and are intended for collectible purposes CONDITION DETAILS: This is in new old stock condition. The outer Sweet Treets bag is sealed and has some cosmetic wear from age. The top part has creasing and staining. The plastic part has become slightly stained from age and the plastic has become hard and wrinkled as this type of plastic does with age. The bottle caps inside look excellent, having never been handled or touched since they went in the bag. Sold as is.
