Description: Fabulous and completely original Mid Century c1950's table lamp. Attic find from a recent house clearance, that was much more '70's / '80's in style, we were very pleasantly surprised to find this well hidden amongst the old 1950's radios, cameras and suitcases etc etc in the loft, where it had clearly been for decades. Stands approx 21'' to the top of the fitting. Heavy and quite impressive ceramic lamp at approx 4.5kg, with a wooden base and neck which is not dissimilar to the style of an atomic dansette leg.We've given it a good general clean, but there's no plug on the original non earthed wiring. We've left the fitting as found, but it will need rewiring. Has some scuffs to the cream ceramic - no actual chips or damage, but may benefit from a little paint tidy up to show it at it's best. A really stunning Mid Century lamp, that's crying out for a teak sideboard somewhere...!
