Description: Vintage Artisan Miniature Dollhouse Electrified Japanese Salad Bar Diorama Box A wonderful miniature display shadowbox from the Madame Y Collection of Kanagawa, Japan! The madame is known for her eclectic taste in miniatures and she traveled to shows around the world to find all of the little treasures we are sharing with you. This fabulous diorama shadow box is a vintage, artisan handmade and fully dressed salad bar scene within a custom made black shadowbox enclosure which is wired with a battery, and actually illuminates. The scene is complete with realistic tile work, a multi-tiered display counter and a massive spread of various shaped glass and porcelain serving ware, presented on faux ice - each filled with a highly realistic sculpted clay salad style dish including quiche, sautéed spinach and corn, salad, shrimp and broccoli, tomato and cucumber; pear, onion and cucumber salad, and more. It is a one-of-a-kind piece made by a talented miniature artist in Japan, but the artist is unknown as it is unsigned. THIS MINIATURE HAS TRAVELED THOUSANDS OF MILES JUST TO BE HERE...READ HISS STORY. *This fabulous miniature belonged to, Madame 'Y', who lives in Kanagawa, Japan. For many years I have enjoyed a friendship with Madam Y. Her love of miniatures and her vast knowledge of artisans was something that we enjoyed talking about. Over the years I watched in awe as her collection continuously grew, she even had to expand her beautiful home on the sea just to house her collection of some of the finest miniatures in the world. When she decided to sell her collection, she contacted me so that I could tell her story and the story of each piece she has acquired, over all these years. Her hope is to find a home and share the story of every single piece. We have just begun to receive the boxes, all wrapped so well as they were all very special to her. She wanted others to know these incredible artisans, many she has met in person, from countries all over the globe and it is her hope that you will get to know them too, as we list them one by one.
