Estate sale find, original vintage Apache Junction Arizona Superstition Ho Hotel Travel Brochure, circa 1960s. The Superstition Ho Hotel, also known as the Superstition Inn or the Superstition Grand Hotel. It began as the third in a chain of “Ho Hotels” and was hoped to be a key the anchor to the east valley. As the years passed, the hotel became a central hub in downtown Apache Junction. In the late 1950s, John B. Mills had a dream for the eastern part of the valley. Having found success with the first two “ho” hotels in the Westward Ho Hotel in Phoenix and the Valley Ho in Scottsdale, he wanted to create the third link in the chain of hotels at the base of the Superstition Mountains. Thus, in 1960, the Superstition Ho Hotel opened its doors for the first time and started welcoming guests into the junction of Highway 60 and 88 that would one day become the town of Apache Junction. Like its sister hotels, the “Ho” of Superstition Ho Hotel signified a beckoning to travelers everywhere. For years, the “Ho” would serve as a call to Apache Junction. The item measures approximately 4" X 9" (Folded), approximate shipping weight 4 ounces.
