Description: I bought a lot of about 400 vintage wooden shoe lasts molds that came out of several different factories in the Portsmouth Ohio area. Some of these are dated 1930s and 1940s Portsmouth Ohio was a major shoe manufacturing city. It is reported there were over 7 million pairs of shoes a year made in this town. According to the collector, as the factories closed, they would buy the remaining shoe forms from the other factories. When the final factory close they were all in storage there. I’ll be listing shoes for the next week and will combine shipping if you win more than one lot. Should be able to combine up to 30 pounds of shoes lasts. Great way to buy a lot of items and save a lot on shipping. This particular item is the only one that I seen like it. I can’t find another, but from examining it it appears you could make a left and right shoe with this one. Maybe something like a ballet issue or something that didn’t have a heel. There are no markings on it, but it does have metal bindings on the edges and metal tips on the toes. This is about 9 inches long.
