Description: Penn Antique Restoration Small Homemade Vintage Pine Stool Lovely, vintage stool salvaged from Northeastern Pennsylvania. It's made of solid pine and has a medium stain color. The former owner was also the builder and did a fine job! Not only did he use dowels to join all parts together (notice the darker colored circles where two parts meet) but he even added 2 steel, L-shaped brackets to secure the top to inner sides. Although he built the stool really well, he's not the best artist. The hearts he cut-out in the sides look like a child did it. However, these sort of imperfections or quirks are what give handmade furniture a unique style and character--every piece is a one-of-a-kind!Our carpenter inspected the piece from top to bottom and said that all of the joints are tight, and there are no weak spots what-so-ever. This stool is strong, sturdy, and ready for another lifetime of service! It could be used indoors and outdoors. It could be used as a stool for gardening, for your child to stand on to reach the sink or counter in the kitchen, or even as a plant stand. Dimensions 14"W x 8 3/8"D x 11 1/2"H
