Description: Vintage American Padlock, Model # P502. These locks date from the late 1970's or early 1980's. They are brand new and have never been used. All of the locks are Keyed Alike. The construction and dimensions of this lock is similar to the Master Lock #1LJ or #81LJ. The lock body is 1-3/4" wide laminated steel. The shackle is 5/16" thick hardened steel with a 2-1/2" high clearance. The key cylinder is a solid brass, 5 pin tumbler and is re-keyable as well. American Lock created this lock series to compete with Master Lock's success line of laminated steel body padlocks. They discontinued the line in the mid-980's. Master Lock acquired American Lock in the 1990's. The locks are in perfect working condition and can be used to secure your property or to add a unique item to your padlock collection. The original vintage box for each lock is included as is the paper key code/instruction card. The boxes are in beautiful condition with bright Red, White, and Blue colors. For every group of 6 you purchase, we will also include the 6 lock shelf carton (while still available). The shelf carton shows some UV fading but is still in very good condition. This is a great opportunity to pick up some vintage locks for your collection or to put to use in securing your property.
