Description: This traditional Afghan necklace was handmade during the mid to later 1900's for the nomadic Kuchi tribe of Balochistan in Central Asia. It is vintage tribal-jewelry, not a new reproduction. More measurements and useful info are listed at the end of this description. The incised traditional designs of the 3 large pendants mirror each other, each with floral patterns radiating from the center. At 1/4 inch thick, these pendants are sturdy and do not bend. Vibrant red/blue beads and coins were interspersed between the pendants. The cord and button-clasp are more recent. This necklace is in excellent vintage condition, with a warm age-patina and mild wear-patterns. Please note that patina reflects the light when photographed so items appear brighter in images than they really are. Perfect for tribal belly dance, festivals, theater costumes, stage productions, and dramatic effect.
