Description: For sale is a vintage advertising mechanical pencil made by the Ritepoint company for Dekalb corn. The pencil measures approximately 5.5 inches tall and 0.5 inches wide. This pencil features the DeKalb logo with a red piece of corn in the background and the image of a baby chick. At the top of the pencil enclosed in plastic is a miniature chick, standing in its egg. Although there is not a specific date on this, I am assuming this was made sometime in the past 50 years. Please refer to the photos for the actual condition of the item. There is light staining on the body of the pen, there is staining on the plastic that holds the mini check, and overall it could use a good cleaning. There’s also no lead present in the pencil, and I cannot confirm if it still works. Outside of these qualities, this item is in relatively good condition. The 1 inch grid and anything else in the photos outside of the actual item is used for photo quality and is not for sale. Shipping and handling will be $4.95 to the lower 48 states. Anything outside of this region will have to pay additional shipping charges.
