Description: ITEM: Vintage 80's Pleasant Company White Body SAMANTHA Doll in Ribbon Box Box is the early edition Maroon Box by Pleasant Company with the satin logo ribbon & Logo Sticker. Nice coloring. Structurally sound with some typical edge wear. See pics. Ribbon & logo sticker are intact. End has the SDP logo heart sticker. Box bottom is the correct "thin" cardboard. Super rare & HTF box! Doll is an early "white body" issue I estimate as 1987 or 1988. Earlier wig that is lighter brown. Looks factory curled. Longer bangs. Original hair ribbon tied "upside down" as she was originally sold. Pretty eyes with all lashes & no silvering. Hint of factory blush remaining on cheeks. Lip color is soft pink & original. White Body with "salmon" cups at limb joints just as the earliest Pleasant Company dolls. She holds a pose & can stand. Limbs are tight, but I am not sure id she was re-strung as I am not the original owner. A few shine marks from age & handling. She has her "West Germany" Hair Care Wrist Tag. She's a cute doll! Dressed in her original meet including: Hair Ribbon, Dress (paper 1986 W. Germany Tag), Tights (1986 ribbon tag), Black Mary Jane Shoes (PC stickers on bottom). All are in EXC++ condition. Great coloring on all garment pieces & everything else is intact. Book is the 1st issue paperback with no # indicated. It looks to have never been read. Rare variation "no name" pamphlets are dated 1986 & 1988. Overall, a very special piece of vintage Pleasant Company history. Currently in a smoke-free, cat-free, small dog home.
