Vintage 50s Tye Pottery Lamp Turquoise Gold Mid Century Modern Atomic Era Light

Description: Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a wonderful vintage ceramic pottery table lamp that was manufactured by Tye of California (USA). Circa '50s. The body of the lamp is structured in such a way that the darker turquoise areas are recessed, while the lighter turquoise areas are not. There is an applied gold paint splatter randomly over the entire surface of the lamp (see photos). The lamp has a standard on/off rotary knob switch that is located at the socket. The lamp is signed and dated (1955) towards the bottom of the base at the back side where the electrical cord emerges. There is no shade present - that'll be left up to the purchaser to provide on their own. It's a great lamp that'll be suitable for any modern interior setting! Measurements: The lamp stands a total of approx. 31" tall (measured from the bottom of the round brass disc base to the top of the harp). The distance from the bottom of the disc base to the light socket is approx. 24" high. The pottery portion of the lamp measures approx. 20.5" tall x 6" wide x 6" deep. The round brass disc base at the bottom measures approx. 6" in diameter. Condition: Very good condition. The pottery portion of the lamp is in great shape - no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. The round brass disc at the bottom of the lamp shows some surface discoloration / tarnishing that comes with age. We have not attempted to clean or polish the lamp - we are presenting it for sale in the condition in which it was acquired. The electrical wiring appears to be original, and is in very good condition - no frays, splits, exposed or brittle wires. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working condition. As with all vintage lighting, we always strongly recommend having a licensed electrician inspect the wiring prior to long-term use.
