Description: Vintage 20s 30s Wool Ruching Black Cocktail Dress MIDCENTURY XXS XS S Petite Flapper Art Deco Ruched 1920s 1930s Based on the Conmar zipper, I believe this lovely dress is from the 20s, 30s or 40s. Whatever decade it's from, it's a very unique piece. Soft and luxurious wool blend fabric.I think it might be wool crepe. Cute ruching on body and sleeves. Built-in crinoline / petticoat. Please examine pictures closely as there are some tiny holes. This is also some damage inside on the lining, which is not visible. Since the dress is black and has so much ruching, I never even noticed the holes till I got it out in the bright light. Zipper is functioning but you should be gentle with it to make sure it doesn't snag on the fabric (as you probably already do with your other vintage pieces.) This dress was found with a tiny safety pin near the bottom of the zipper. I assumed it was to prevent the zipper from going down all the way, perhaps to prevent it from having a problem? I have worn it with the safety pin so as to avoid problems and had no problem. This dress is VERY small and meant for a petite lady! Please check measurements for the perfect fit. There is some stretch due to the ruching and fabric itself. Style this with black fishnets, black suede pumps and red lipstick! This dress is sold as is.
