Vintage 1996 Venice Italy Gondola Canal Watercolor Painting Signed Gold Frame

Description: This listing is for the original watercolor painting that you see in the photos. I purchased it in an estate sale in Oregon where I was not told it's history. The sticker on the back of the frame states that it was framed in in California 1998. I think that the painting might be from Italy and that it might be older than the frame. It is signed but I cannot read signature. I leave it to the buyer to decide where it was painted who painted it. The frame measures close to 14 3/4 by 25 1/4 inches. The area of the painting exposed by the frame measures close to 5 3/4 by 16 inches. The framed painting weighs close to 5 pounds. The gold of the finish looks relatively hard and shiny so I wonder if it is some kind of gold wash or gilt. The condition is much like you see it in the photos. It is generally in excellent condition. I have not examined the painting out of the frame so in that respect to this being sold as is and as described. From what I can say see, the painting is in excellent condition with no damage. There a couple of small/tiny spots on the frame where a little of the finish is missing. A close-up shows the largest one. There are evenly spaced lines all around on the finish of the frame where the texture of the gold is different. I believe that it was made that way. Otherwise, the frame is in excellent condition.I guarantee this painting to be as described and represented by the photos. The photos are part of the description. Please look at all of them.
