Vintage 1993 Vicenza, Inc. Black Leather Pewter Snake Top Handle Evening Bag

Description: This item is being sold for the employee holiday fund at the continuing care retirement community (CCRC) in Maine where I live with my husband. All items are donated by the residents of the community and the net proceeds of all sales go to the fund that is distributed annually to the wonderful staff who help the many elderly residents here. I will give all the information I can about each item, but I am not the original owner. I have here a Vintage 1993 Vicenza, Inc. Black Leather Pewter Snake Ornamentation Top Handle Evening Bag. This is quite an interesting bag made of buttery soft black leather! It stands about 7” tall (not counting the handle), 6 ¾” across at the bottom (5 5/8” across the top) and 3” deep at the bottom. It is a heavy, hard sided bag. The weight is because of the heavy, pewter (like) ornamentation. On the front (front of clasp closure is a coiled snake with a snake head sticking out). Wrapped around either side of the handle (where the handle hits the bag) it a fill snake with the snake head faces the bag. The 4 feet at the bottom are coiled snakes. At top, next to the handle are loops (on both sides) that I think are meant for a detachable shoulder strap – that STRAP IS NOT INCLUDED HERE! The inside is lined in a deep green suede and has one open inside pocket and one zippered inside pocket. There is some minor scratches in the black leather but overall is looks GREAT, I doesn’t look like it was used much at all!! I suspect the scratches in the leather are more from being stored than use. I have many other interesting items up for sale (including many high-end bags and purses!!), many to benefit this wonderful employee fund.
