Description: Up for sale is a Vintage 1990 Yamaha EG112 stratocaster style electric guitar with gig bag.These vintage EG112's are of a higher quality than the new ones. This guitar is really impressive in a couple ways.First, is the sound. if you are looking for a great strat sound, this guitar nails it, surprisingly closer than some other strat style guitars, or even some Fender strats that I have played. The bridge pickup is a humbucker and has a pretty good humbucker sound, but it is the middle and front single coils that really nail that super fendery strat sound.I have owned a Mexican Fender stat, and this Yamaha has more of that strat sound than my Mexican Fender!Im not sure where this guitar gets its sound. Maybe it is the alder-wood body, the pickups, or 30 years this alder-wood has aged, but it does have the sound.Second, it plays really well, and again, better than my Mexican fender strat. This guitar was just cleaned, polished and set up including a new set of 9 gauge boomer strings, so it is ready to be played!
