Description: This is a unique and rare ornament from The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation that is signed by "Wagner" and dated "1983, Williamsburg". Still in it's original package and sealed with a "FOLK ART REPRODUCTIONS-Colonial Williamsburg" sticker, this wooden ornament is stenciled in the tulip roundel which is just one of several stenciled designs that embellish a painted cupboard made early in the nineteenth century. It is done in red, yellow, brown and dark blue on a white/off white background. The ornament has an eye hook at the top with gold cord attached for easy hanging. It measures approximately 4 7/8 inches tall (eye hook included) and is about 4 1/2 inches long. I did NOT open the package. So, I am not sure what is on the back side of the ornament. It comes with an insert that talks about these folk art interpreatations. Package is a bit worn from years of storage. Please review and enlarge all photos for additional details, views and measurements. This appears to be a fairly rare piece as I was unable to find anything similar.
