Description: This fun, retro owl wall art towel holder was handmade in the 1970s by the Green Mountain Mfg. Co of Trout Creek, Montana. Carved from one piece of wood, the owl has a dimensional shape showcasing the woodgrain and deep color. The owl has orange felt eyes secured with a black metal rivet. The towel ring holder is attached and holds a clear plastic ring. There are two methods of attachment: a brass ring and a sawtooth pictured hanger which was probably added at a later date. This owl is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or discoloration. The ring does show some very minor wear likely from rubbing against the wood holder. The owl is 8¾" long from top of ears to bottom of tail, and 3¾" wide. I'ts 1½" from front to back. The ring is 5" across. Use it for its intended purpose as a towel holder, or hang macramé from the ring. Or make it truly 70s style by hanging it near some plants and weaving the plant vines through the ring.
