Vintage 1970s OK Breil 20 ATM Diver w/Iced Baby Blue Dial,Patina,All SS PCG Case

Given that the movement has likely never been serviced a complete overhaul is likely long overdue and recommended.***********This seldom seen vintage 1970's OK Breil diver, which came from the estate of an old school watchmaker, has a pristine sunburst iced baby blue "SWISS MADE" signed dial and the original lume, which remains fully intact and emits a quick burst glow after being exposed to bright light, has aged gracefully to a warm buttermilk hue. In my humble opinion this dial and patina combination couldn't be more pleasing. The mirrored all stainless bezel, which retains its original enamel paint and rotates bidirectionally with an appropriate amount of tension, presents nicely. The massive all stainless steel PCG case shows minor wear with no visible signs of oxidation. The outer edge of the case back is stamped "WATERPROOF 20 ATM INCABLOC AUTOMATIC ALL STEEL" with "OK" followed by "BREIL" stamped in the center. The crystal is nearly blemish free. While I normally show pictures of the movements of watches that I put up for sale the case back on this particular watch is torqued too tight for me to remove. The 25 jewels automatic movement with quickset date function runs strong, keeps accurate time and the red date wheel rolls over at 12 am. The quickset date function works flawlessly by unscrewing the crown, pulling it out to the first position and then turning it clockwise until the desired date has been reached. After recently winding the crown 39 full revolutions the movement had an approximate 42 hour power reserve period. The crown unscrews and screws back down perfectly as it should and winds buttery smooth. Given that the movement has likely never been serviced a complete overhaul is likely long overdue and recommended. This watch measures approximately 40 mm excluding the crown, approximately 44 mm including the crown and approximately 20 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 10 mm. Including the crystal thickness measures approximately 13 mm. This watch comes on what I believe to be its original, unsigned all stainless steel bracelet showing moderate stretch and wear. When set on the loosest clasp setting it is too big for my approximately 6.5 inch wrist. I'd guestimate that it "may" fit up to an approximate 7 inch wrist. Although the movement runs strong and keeps accurate time there are no warranties, express or implied, attached with the sale of this watch. Vintage means old and while my personal belief is that old-school means better quality and workmanship, things can and do go wrong from time to time.
