Description: Vintage Famolare Amsterdam clogs from 1970s - collector's Item, so very rarely come up for sale. And when they do, it's usually on Etsy, selling for anywhere between 500-1.5k AUD regardless of the condition they're in. I am selling my pair for what I paid with seller fees - a veritable bargain, actually. Patented design of moulded fibreglass uppers with foam inners that keep clogs hugged to yer toots. Extreme platform. Think of a tardis in reverse:) Took me about 20 years to find this pair for self - in my assumed size, in my budget. Course I've never actually WORN them - I just had to know how Amsterdams looked & felt like in person, after decades of swooning after a pair. I have only ever clip-clopped around indoors in these clogs, dreaming of where I would wear them, if only if only. I really do think had I bought a pair for myself (in the right size), when I was young, that I'd have have worn till they crumbled - I've always loved clogs, the more unusual the better. Probs with my feet prohibit this, nowadays, sadly. Clogs are size US/AU8 women's. Vintage shoe sizing is sometimes smaller than modern (whereas vintage clothing sizing is always tiny) so I erred on the side of caution, & bought these clogs a size up from my usual, needlessly as it turns out. US/AU8 is EU39 UK6. The fit, while true to sizing, is like that of no other pair of clogs' I've ever come across, mind, due to the construction & materials, so don't expect any kind of 'standard fit'. There's NOTHING 'standard' about these clogs! The foam & fabric really do keep the clogs snug on your feet, strange as it sounds. The shoes are heavy in your hands, but not on your feet - I can't really explain it, so will leave things at that. FWIW I generally wear EU37 or EU38 and at EU39, these clogs are a size too big for me. Not for their outsized outer sizing, but on the inside - I needed a US7 not 8. I make no guarantees though as to fit or suitability - Famolare sized these clogs as a US8, women's, on release in the 70s, make of that what you will. I do however guarantee that clogs are genuine Famolare Amsterdams though - please see Famolare engraved branding on the gold (brass or other metal) bands & as imprinted on the outer soles. Clogs are in amazing for 50-odd years of age nic, albeit USED - see photos - NOT deadstock! There are scratches throughout, the fabric is loose in parts of the foam on the inside, etc. But the condition is quite remarkable for its vintage & yes, if the style is suited to your needs, clogs are very much in wearable condition, as the foam inside is still in excellent vintage nic, there are no cracks in the fibreglass, the outer non-slip soles have not perished, etc. Very much as they appear in the photos. Screenshots are included for your reference, only. In any case sold AS IS - no box, sorry. Will post to you securely bubble-wrapped and boxed with tracking, signature on delivery AND insurance, due to high value. Yes you can try on and buy in person from central Belconnen but I will accept cash-only payment in this instance, no exceptions. I'm always happy to combine postage and to answer any questions you may have. Please view photos with utmost care, as they form part of the item description. Please note that for ALL of my LISTINGS, payment is required within TWO DAYS of sale, UNLESS otherwise negotiated (e.g. you wish to purchase multiple items to take advantage of combined shipping). If you need extra time to pay, please just message me to discuss. If I don't hear from you or receive payment within two days, I will assume you do not intend to complete our sale, in which case I will cancel it, and relist the item, and report non-payment to eBay. Communication is key:) I cannot guarantee a sure fit or that you will be satisfied. I do however guarantee that anything I sell is genuine and as photographed and described, i.e., listed in utter good faith. Listed for sale elsewhere, as said: first to pay bags the goodies, no holds. Auction bidders: you are most welcome to bid, but most of my items are listed for sale on multiple platforms, so to remain fair, I honour sales on a first-come first-served (first to pay) basis. In the event an item sells on another platform, even if you are the winning bidder here on eBay, if another other buyer pays first, I am obliged to cancel any auction to honour that already-paid-for sale. The only way to guarantee you get this or any other item I list for sale is to purchase it if it has a buy-it-now price, and pay immediately. Buyer liable for all/any import taxes. I DO NOT accept any requests for returns for refunds, partial or otherwise. All items sold AS IS.
