Description: Delightfully whimsical, rare, 1970s large David Stewart Lions Valley stoneware "Alligator" planter with 3 sections/wells for succulents, cacti or faux plants. The planter measures approximately 18 1/2" long x 3 1/2" wide x 3 1/2" tall. The piece is in very good pre-owned condition with no cracks or repairs. There are a few areas around the rims that appear as chips/indentions but upon close inspection they are believed to be manufactured and appear under the glaze. The matte beige color is enhanced with a unique textured side in darker brown. The original paper label on the inside bottom is missing. Overall, delightful piece that would be a great addition to a David Stewart collector or any pottery collector. *Please note the last 4 pictures pointed out with pencil. They are showing manufacturing "imperfections" on the piece, small holes in clay and small indentions underglaze.*
