You are looking at a Vintage 1970-1972 Gibson J-50D Deluxe Acoustic Guitar. Dating to the early-mid 1970's, this J-50 Deluxe plays beautifully! The tone is rich and warm without sacrificing the high end, and has a lot of room for dynamic playing. Very clean and in great condition for its age, this gorgeous piece is sure to impress you. The tonewoods have aged nicely, providing an absolutely dynamite sound. With a professional setup from Top 40 Guitars included, you can be certain this guitar will arrive ready to play. All you’ll have to do is tune it! Made somewhere between 1970 and 1972 as Gibson's serial number system they were using back then is a bit ambiguous and that is as close as we can comfortably confirm for when this guitar was made. The guitar is wonderfully worn in and is a very nice players grade instrument that has been played and gigged with for many years, she's used but not abused. So there are a good amount of pick scratches, little dings, and scuff marks which we love to see! Guitars are meant to be played and enjoyed, not to sit in a glass display case and touched only with white gloves on by the museum curator :) The J-50D with a solid spruce top and mahogany back, sides, and neck. A 14/20-fret rosewood finger board with pearl dot inlay, And of course they all have the huge sound for which vintage Gibson's have been famous for decades. Nut width is 1-11/16" inches and neck shape feels like a nice "modified C"…. it's a slim C that fits great (basically perfect) in the hands, and the back of the neck also has a satin like feel to the finish allowing you quickly play up and down the neck with ease. Our luthier did a complete setup. Brand new strings were installed. Gig ready on Arrival! Nut Width: 1 11/16"Complete Package with Original Gibson Case Included! Due to CITES Treaty for Endangered Wood (Mahogany, Rosewood) We no longer ship out of the USA. Cosmetics: Very Good Condition. Keep in mind that this is a 52+ year old vintage Gibson that has been played. Both sides of the guitar and the headstock have lacquer checking and crazing. There are strumming scratches on the pickguard. The Back has some marks from being held next to the players body. Neck and fingerboard in great shape. Headstock has some scratches around the edges. Not a museum piece. Overall, a really nice Vintage Gibson. Dripping with "Mojo" Look at the pictures closely. They will tell the story.
