This eagle style was representative of the Aztec story "Technoctitlan" (Mexico City) and how it was selected as the Aztec's capital which was built upon eagles nest. According to the book by Sandy Hargrove Maya Mexico Jewelry. The chain measures 25" in length. The slide measures 2.5"X 2.5". The back says Mexico. No condition issues. Vintage Jewelry that I sell is OLD. Generally jewelry that is at least 25 years old...lots of times it can be 50 to 100 years old.
