Vintage 1960s Electro Voice 644 Shotgun Microphone new old stock, works, w/stand

Description: Offering a vintage 1960's second-generation Electro Voice model 644 "Sound Spot" Microphone, with stand and cable. The 644 is a highly directional "shotgun" dynamic microphone, which greatly extends frontal pickup on the microphone axis. That extends the working distance over 2.5 times compared to present non-directional type microphones. At the same time, it cancels sound at the rear and sides by over 20 dB providing unequalled rejection of random noise, reverberation and feedback without sacrifice of frequency response. Speaking of feedback rejection, it also allows much greater latitude in loudspeaker placement and will solve many specialized problems where microphones cannot be placed near the source of sound. A front acceptance angle at high frequencies of 45° each side of the microphone axis also allows best isolation of individual performers when desired. The Model 644 gives improved wind noise rejection compared with conventional microphones and is much less susceptible to generation of noise from mechanical shock. This one is "new old stock", meaning it has never been placed into service, thus is flawless in appearance and tests with brand new performance...clean full-fidelity audio and strong output. The pivot joint holds the tilt angle firmly, and the on-off switch operates smoothly. The pressure-cast zinc and brass flat "Fawn Beige" color scheme allows this mic to be less noticeable when used in camera shots. Includes the Electro Voice retail box.
