Description: Amazing vintage 1950's velvet greatcoat! (It's kind of like a cross between a swingy cape and a trench coat because it's very long--just past the knees, and wraps around so much that it's basically a one-size-fits-all.) Like the best designers of the 1950's, Gus Mayer of New Orleans sewed the tag upside down so that when draped over the back of a chair, the tag can be read easily (since it's right-side-up to the viewer.) Great for winter to wear over party dresses, or over flapper dresses to vintage parties. It's a heavy velvet, so great for keeping out the cold, but other than the satin lining, not thickly lined, so probably not great for sub-30 degrees or long times outside. Any questions, please ask.
