Description: Vintage California Pottery Twin Winton Hillbilly Pitcher And Mug Set. "Hillbilly Humor." The series was created in 1947 by Don Winton's Pasadena, Calif., company, Twin Winton Studios. Most pieces have a handle shaped like a hillbilly. The hillbilly series included not only mugs, cups and steins, but also pitchers, ashtrays, lamps and salt and pepper shakers. The series was enormously popular for a few years. Twin Winton continued to sell hillbilly pieces until the 1970s. This set have some very minor flaws/chips as pictured. There are no structural cracks or breaks Pitcher measures 7” tall. Opening 4”x5.5” Tip of the pitcher to handle is 9” wide All pieces are signed on the bottom 4 Mugs are 4” tall and 6” from side to tip of handle Will be carefully packaged for shipping
