Description: Offering a vintage 1940's Shure Model CA91C Dynamic Microphone. These omni-directional mics were manufactured in Chicago and sold as OEM products to tape recorder manufacturers and usually packaged with the tape recorder. One such tape recorder manufacturer was Crescent Industries. The CA91C is basically a circular Bakelite casing with waffle-like patterned front grill. We repainted the casing black, installed fresh interior grill cloth, and mounted it within a 5" suspended ring assembly, resembling the old ring-spring mics that were seen during that era. We removed the original dead element and installed a decent dynamic capsule, and you can hear a sample of this mic on the listing video. We also mounted a reproduction ABC flag atop the ring to give it that old "network" microphone vibe. A new 8' cable with 1/4" male phono plug was added, and includes the adjustable-height desk stand. (Overall height is 14.5-18".) ** Always safe secure packaging and fast fair shipping.
