This piece is made of diecast metal embossed on bottom : "HORNBY// MADE IN ENGLAND BY MECCANO LTD.” Original cardboard paper lined box with paper labels written in English and French. Made in England by Meccano Ltd., ca 1940s. Dimensions: Buffer: 1-½ x 1 inches (4 x 2.5 cm) Box: 3 x 1-½ inches (7.5 x 4 cm) Condition: One buffer missing. Minor, almost not noticeable, chips on paint. Box is somewhat worn with a crease to one corner. One of the paper labels is partially ripped. Otherwise, very fine to excellent overall condition.
