Description: Vintage 1939~1944 war years Telechron motored General Electric clock, model 6B06 Gloucester. Clock works good, keeps accurate time and runs quietly. The Ship's Bell Strike needs work - I don’t think it is striking correctly. It is supposed to strike every half hour on a bell, in the Nautical sequence - 1 bell,2 bells,3 bells, 4 bells, up to 8 bells at 12, 4, and 8 o'clocks, odd bell strikes at the halves, even bell strikes on the hours. This one only goes up to four bells. Price is set based on the clock needing maintenance. The wood case, mahogany, with ship's wheel at the front with brass spokes. The finish is original and looks fair but seems it's been in a few battles..... Some wear, fading, dings, scrapes, scatches, etc. but still presents well up on a shelf. The back round wood cover opens up to set the time, pull outward and turn the large knob. It resets the red dot power signal to gold. There's a lever to raise if you don't want to hear the bell. the round convex glass dial lens looks good, no cracks, the metal dial face looks like a compass design, a little stained/worn. Gold/green center on off-white face, black numbers. Brass hands look nice.Good power cord with Bakelite non-polarized plug. Measures 8-1/2 inches tall to the spokes, 18 inches wide at the base, 4-1/4 inches deep plus the curved glass.
